The premier golf course of the Queen City of the South should be on the list of the Top Golf Courses in the Philippines.
The Cebu Country Club started out as a 9-hole golf course built by American and British expats in the early 20th century. By the looks of it, the club became almost exclusively for the expats and that prompted the creation of another golf club down the road which became the Club Filipino de Cebu. Shades of the Buayas Golf Club (Manila Golf) situation that led to the birth of Wack Wack in Manila.
Club Filipino is gone. It has become a mall, so the Cebu Country Club has become the only golf club in the city proper. Unless you want to travel out to the other golf courses on the island, Cebu CC would be your only option.

And a really fine option it has become. The course is as flat as can be but that doesn’t mean it lacks the golfing challenges that an old, mature track can offer.
Well placed bunkers and strategically placed penalty areas will demand proper clubbing and deft approach shots. Hit your drives in the proper places if you expect to score well on this golf course.
The course still sports carabao grass fairways and zoysia greens but there may be plans for a redesign/regrassing of the course. We eagerly await bringing Cebu CC into the 21st century.
